Workshop on Primary Education
Enhanced outreach for the disadvantaged children, further awareness building to minimize dropout rates, revision of stipend programme, increased number of quality teachers through quality training , development of supportive learning materials and especially trained teachers for children with special needs were identified to be the most important areas to be considered for quality primary education for all from the government at an undialogue style discussion among the education experts and activists.
As part of the joint education advocacy campaign, BRAC, CAMPE and IID organised a workshop to identify major challenges in ensuring quality and access to primary education. The workshop was held on 20 October 2014 at the BRAC Center Conference Room.
Findings of the workshop was used in formulating the Position Paper of the campaign which will be shared in a national seminar among the high level policymakers and actors of the education sector to be held on 18th June 2015.
